Mouvex SLS36 Pump Repair for Histon Sweet Spreads
HISTON SWEET SPREADS LIMITED experienced an issue during their jam and marmalade production when a metallic foreign object entered their Mouvex, a PSG brand SLS36 pump. The object became lodged between the disc and cylinder, causing significant damage. The force exerted by the motor bent the wing of the disc and stretched the double wall bellows. As a result, the disc and cylinder lost contact, preventing the pump from functioning properly and causing a knocking noise during operation.
To resolve the issue, we conducted a full strip-down of the pump. We replaced the damaged bellows, transmission block, piston, and cylinder. After a comprehensive service and testing, the pump was returned to our customer in full working order, ensuring their production process could resume smoothly.
This swift intervention minimised downtime, allowing Histon Sweet Spreads to get back to business as usual, creating the sweet delights we all know and love!
