Sight glasses are accurate gauge glasses that permit direct distortion-free visual inspection of process conditions, products, liquid levels and cleaning inside vessels used in the dairy, food and beverage, personal care and biopharm industries. They are designed for pressureless vessels and to be installed above the liquid level in order to inspect the product inside.
Application
Sight glass, type LKS 105, is designed for pressureless storage tanks and should be installed above liquid level. The sight glass is welded into tanks or containers to facilitate inspection of product, level, processing, cleaning etc.
Standard design
Sight glass type LKS is available in three types. Sight glass type LKS 105 is the most used (free view: 105 mm) and is designed for installation above the liquid level in pressure-less storage tanks. Sight glass types LKS 78 (free view: 78 mm) and LKS 120 (free view: 120 mm) are designed for pressure tanks. All LKS sight glasses consist of a welding flange with inside thread, two seal rings as well as a glass plate and lock washer and is completely tight-fitting
