Uniquely Blasted Stainless Steel Surfaces
New, innovative and absolutely unique on the market: blasted stainless steel surfaces with a maximum roughness of Ra 0,8 μm(2).
Blasted surfaces with a homogenous and attractive appearance.
Our flawlessly smooth finish minimises contamination and reduces abrasion. Thanks to the KMH blasting process, cracking corrosion is completely eliminated. The enhanced surfaces are not only visually impressive but also meet the stringent standards of the food and pharmaceutical industries.
And the best part? You benefit from the superior quality of our blasted surfaces with short delivery times—at no extra cost compared to our pickled components.
Our Standard: Innovative Surface Finishing
Since 1st November 2022, all our stainless steel products come with a blasted surface finish as standard.
What sets KMH apart is our unique blasting process, developed in-house and unmatched in the industry. We use a high-alloy stainless steel blasting agent that leaves no surface-damaging structures, ensuring an exceptionally durable and hygienic finish.
Prefer the traditional pickled version? No problem – we still offer that option upon request.
+ Roughness Ra 0.8 μm⁽²⁾ possible
- Significant advantages in terms of hygiene: the smoother the surface, the fewer contaminants can adhere.
- The high requirements of the food and pharmaceutical industries for surfaces that come into contact with products can be met.
+ Corrosion resistance and reduced wear
- No stress corrosion due to the minimally invasive impact during the blasting process.
- Hardly any micro-cutting, scratches, or groove formation.
- More durable products thanks to surface hardening.
+ More hygiene with less effort
- Easy cleaning of the pipe systems thanks to the low adhesion of contaminants.
- Low downtimes – high system availability
+ Short delivery times
- Fast availability: Blasting process carried out in-house on specialized equipment – independent from external service providers.
+ Impressive appearance
- Particularly elegant look of your production systems.
- Technical hygiene is also visually conveyed at first glance.
+ Our Plus in Sustainability
- Short transport routes thanks to the in-house blasting process.
- Blasting media is reprocessed and reintegrated into the cycle.
- First provider in the market segment with certified energy and environmental management according to DIN EN ISO 50001 and DIN EN ISO 14001.
(1) In the case of special requirements for surfaces, especially in the food and pharmaceutical sectors, comprehensive technical advice and coordination from our specialists is required. We will, of course, be pleased to advise you individually and personally on all products and areas of application. Please feel free to contact us: innovation@kmh.net
(2) Measured using the stylus method. Blasted surfaces have a roughness depth of less than Ra 0.8µm. Depending on the length and diameter, the inner surfaces of the pipe remain unblasted, but they also have a roughness depth of less than Ra 0.8 μm. Welding seam areas and transitions, as well as small and attached parts (e.g. levers, flanges, shafts), can have greater roughness depths on the inside and outside. The same applies to production-related processing traces. Our expert & competent team will be glad to advise you.
