This week, we had the pleasure of welcoming Henry Jeans to Industrial Trading Solutions Ltd for a summer work experience placement during his school holidays.
At ITS, we’re proud to inspire the next generation of professionals.
From the beginning, Henry expressed his interest in finance and accounting, but he took this opportunity to explore how different departments come together to keep a business running smoothly. Over the week, Henry got involved across nearly every area of ITS — from accounts and general admin to warehouse operations, ecommerce, and marketing.
One of his key tasks was to audit our Battery Brain website and analyse similar retailers, where he conducted valuable market research and gained insight into customer journey flows. He followed our full order process, from order placement to fulfilment, giving him a complete view of how e-commerce works behind the scenes.
Henry also spent time in our Servicing & Maintenance department, getting hands-on experience by stripping down and trialling pumps. He even sat down with our accountant to help organise supplier invoices and got stuck into some archiving tasks with his grandad, Peter Jeans, learning about Pete’s early days in the industry and the evolution of ITS over the years.
We’re delighted to have given Henry his first introduction to the working world, and we’ve thoroughly enjoyed having him as part of the ITS team this week.
We’re excited to support him on his journey ahead, and we’re confident he has a bright future — wherever his career path takes him.
