When a customer needed a smarter way to manage waste product storage before third-party collection, they approached ITS for support. Their process required a fully automated and flexible solution that could direct different waste streams to multiple storage areas based on both product type and available capacity. With five infeed lines feeding into six storage tanks, the system also needed strong protection to ensure multiple streams could run at the same time without any risk of mixing, which was essential for meeting third-party collection requirements.
There was only one challenge. Space on site was tight, so the entire setup needed to fit into a compact footprint.
💡This is where ITS stepped in. We supplied a Mixproof valve matrix and worked closely with the customer from the early design phase right through to order. With support from Alfa Laval, we delivered a fully automated prefabricated valve manifold skid designed specifically for their needs. Even with the space restrictions, we engineered a layout that was both compact and efficient.
Our team handled all mechanical works, including orbital welding of the valve cluster, fabrication of the support frame with drip tray, and the final mounting of the complete assembly. The outcome was a reliable, space-efficient and hygienic automated solution that gives the customer complete control over their waste streams, with confidence and compliance built in.
