ITS Technical Sales team members Connor Littlewood and Daniel Dunn recently partook in intermediate technical training, hosted in Kolding, Denmark, by Alfa Laval’s Kurt Kjellerup and Kamilla Søgaard Poulsen.
The training focused on expanding our technical expertise across Alfa Laval’s hygienic processing portfolio, including valves (LKBS and Mixproof) and pumps (centrifugal range, Twin Screw, and Rotary Lobe).
What did the training cover?
The week combined classroom-based theory with practical experience. From stripping pumps to replacing genuine seals and comparing different pump designs by model and specification, our team gained a deeper understanding of how each unit functions and what media each is best suited for.
This hands-on approach helped strengthen our ability to recommend the right solutions for various hygienic processing needs, ensuring optimal performance, compatibility, and longevity.
However, it wasn’t all tools and torque wrenches
Campfire sessions and team bonding activities took place outdoors in the Danish woods, surrounded by towering trees and the fresh scent of pine in the air. The natural setting provided a refreshing break from the classroom and workshop, offering space to reflect, reset, and connect. These activities were not only a great way to build trust and improve team dynamics, but also gave our team the chance to network and exchange knowledge with other technical engineers during the training.
