Our ITS Servicing & Maintenance team will be able to tell you after they recently carried out an ad hoc site visit at one of our beverage industry customers to inspect an Alfa Laval Mixproof Valve (MPV) that was experiencing failing seals. The purpose of the visit was to observe the process and identify the root cause of the issue.
🔧 During the inspection, our team found that the plug in the valve body was bent and worn, causing the sealing failure.
ITS Servicing manager, Dan Hinton, says, “We removed the first valve body and recommended replacing the valve to ensure reliable operation for their beverage process”.
