This week we tackled challenges with an Alfa Laval OS Twin Screw pump experiencing some noise and performance issues. The pump was running at only 50% capacity and frequently tripped out. Upon inspection, we discovered that a foreign object had passed through the screw, causing deflection and damaging both the screws and the casing. 🔧

Here’s how we fixed it:
• Disassembled the pump to access the wet end.
• Removed the screws and thoroughly inspected them for damage.
• Damage was found on both the screws and the casing where the screws had deflected.
• We carefully cleaned off the damage and ensured everything was back to spec.

After our intervention, the pump was fully restored to normal operation, ready to run at optimal capacity once again!🏆Another successful repair by the ITS Servicing & Maintenance team—keeping things running smoothly as always.
